What Are Xero Compatible Checks?

Xero compatible checks are pre-printed check stock formatted to the layouts the Xero accounting platform prints to. Your bank details and MICR line arrive already applied, so you load the stock, run your payment batch from Xero, and the fields land in the correct positions.

Xero is cloud based, which means your check printing setup travels with your login rather than living on one machine. The paper still has to match, though. Ordering a layout your Xero configuration does not expect produces misaligned checks regardless of how the software is set up.

Our Xero checks are supplied to work with older as well as the newest versions of the Xero platform, and they are manufactured on high quality paper built for daily office use.

Do Xero Checks Have to Come From Xero?

No. Xero does not sell its own check stock, and it does not require checks from any particular supplier. Any check formatted to the correct layout and dimensions will print from Xero and clear at your bank normally.

What matters is matching the layout to your configuration and using stock with a correctly printed MICR line, which ours arrive with.

Which Xero Check Layout Do You Need?

Four layouts cover Xero setups. The right one depends on where your configuration expects the check body to sit and how much remittance detail you need to carry.

Xero Check on Top

The check body prints at the top of the sheet with the area below available for payment detail. This is the layout most businesses use for supplier payments and payroll runs, because the space beneath carries invoice references plus your own file copy. Order Xero checks on top.

How Do You Print Checks From Xero?

Checks print from your payment or bill records inside Xero. You select the payments to pay by check, choose your check style, and Xero generates the print file. Load the matching stock into your printer and run the batch.

Because your bank details and MICR line are already printed on the paper, Xero only needs to place the payee, date, amount and payment detail. That keeps the print job simple and reduces what can go wrong.

Why Are My Xero Checks Misaligned?

Three causes account for most alignment problems. The check style selected in Xero does not match the stock loaded in the printer. The printer is scaling the page instead of printing at actual size. Or the sheet is loaded facing the wrong direction in the tray.

Work through those three in order before adjusting anything else. Always test on plain paper first and hold the result against a real check to compare positions. Test printing directly onto check stock wastes checks you may need that week.

Do You Need a Special Printer or MICR Toner?

No. Your bank details and MICR line arrive pre-printed, so any standard laser or inkjet printer handles these checks. No MICR toner, no dedicated check printer, no additional software beyond Xero itself.

MICR toner only becomes necessary if you print bank details yourself, which is the purpose of blank check stock. That route suits businesses printing across several bank accounts from one paper supply.

Can You Get Xero Checks Overnight?

Yes. Order before 2:00 PM EST on a business day and your Xero checks print and ship the same afternoon, arriving the next business day. Shipping is free, including overnight, with no minimum order and no subscription.

What Is the Cutoff?

The cutoff is 2:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Three windows determine when your order leaves the building.

Before 2:00 PM EST. Prints and ships the same day, arrives next business day, free.

Between 2:00 and 5:00 PM EST. Ships the next business day at no cost. An optional $25 rush fee can still put it on track for next business day arrival.

After 5:00 PM EST. Ships the next business day, free.

How Does It Ship?

Next day eligible orders travel by UPS Overnight Air, and UPS guarantees delivery by 10:30 AM in most commercial areas. Additional checks and non rush reorders move by UPS Ground within three business days, with shipping free either way.

We guarantee to ship on time. If a delay begins in our production department, we refund based on when your package actually arrives.

What You Need to Order

Four details complete the order: your bank routing number, your account number, your starting check number, and your business name and address as it should print. All four appear on an existing check drawn on the same account.

Routing and account numbers. Both sit along the bottom edge of any current check, inside the MICR line.

Starting check number. Continue your existing sequence so Xero does not flag duplicates during reconciliation.

Business name and address exactly as it should appear on the face of the check.

Your logo, free of charge. Black artwork on a white background in BMP or JPG reproduces most cleanly. Color logos are available on standard checks but are not eligible for overnight shipping.

Email artwork to [email protected] quoting your order number. Requesting a proof pauses production until you approve it, so skip the proof when the order is urgent.
